The Friedman Gambit

I have identified a new rhetorical technique, which I name the Friedman Gambit in honor of its inventor. Its beauty lies in its simplicity—just one simple phrase you throw at your opponent when you have run out of arguments:

The fall of the USSR proves you wrong.

Eat your heart out, Godwin!
